“The Great Indian Salute” Honors Nation’s Veterans in a Stirring Tribute at Lulu Mall, Bengaluru.

In  a heartfelt celebration of India’s 78th Independence Day, The Great Indian Salute event at Lulu Mall, Bengaluru, paid a moving tribute to the nation’s veterans, unveiling a permanent Wall of Fame to immortalize their sacrifices and heroism.

The Great Indian Salute was a unique initiative designed to celebrate the indomitable spirit of India’s armed forces and veterans.

The event featured the unveiling of the Wall of Fame, a dedicated space that pays homage to the heroes who have selflessly served the nation.

Visitors had the opportunity to walk through this inspiring exhibit, which showcases stories of valor, patriotism, and sacrifice, offering a poignant reminder of the freedoms we cherish today.

The event, held on August 13, 2025, drew hundreds of attendees, including veterans, families, and patriots, who gathered to honour India’s brave defenders. The event commenced at 5 PM in the South Atrium of Lulu Mall Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, where guests were greeted with stirring speeches, and interactive exhibits showcasing the legacy of India’s armed forces. Attendees shared personal stories, fostering a powerful sense of unity and gratitude. The Kargil War Memorial Model at the North Atrium of Lulu mall Bengaluru, adorned with imagery of the rugged Kargil terrain and silhouettes of soldiers standing tall against the mountains is a special public art installation designed to honour the bravery and sacrifice of Indian soldiers during the 1999 Kargil War.

The special highlight of the event was the inauguration of the Wall of Fame located on the 3rd Floor of Lulu Mall Rajajinagar, Bengaluru, this permanent installation features photographs, stories, and artifacts celebrating veterans’ contributions. Emotional moments unfolded as families traced their loved ones’ service histories. The showcase is open to public for another two months at Lulu Mall Rajajinagar, Bengaluru.

“This Independence Day, we want to move beyond celebration and reflect on the sacrifices that have shaped our nation. The Wall of Fame is our tribute to the heroes who have safeguarded India’s freedom, and it is more than a memorial also a promise to future generations that courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.”

“The Wall of Honour is more than just an installation for us it is an emotion, a space where every visitor can pause and feel a sense of gratitude. On this 13th of August 2025, as part of our Independence Day celebrations, we wanted to create something that connects our community to the stories of service and sacrifice that protect our freedom every day.

This is our small effort to acknowledge a very big debt we all owe. We sincerely thank every individual we have honoured, and their families, for the courage and commitment they represent.
